Oklahoma Youth Competition

Oklahoma High School Students
You are invited to participate in the 2020 Oklahoma Camera Club Youth Photo Contest!

Entry Deadline: February 7, 2020
No Entry Fee

The goal of this contest is to promote photography among young people by highlighting outstanding photographs from high school students in the state of Oklahoma, including public, private, or home-schooled.

Each student may enter print and/or digital photographs from six categories:

  • Architecture
  • People/Animals
  • Landscapes/Waterscapes/Cityscapes
  • Photojournalism
  • Photographer’s Choice in Color
  • Photographer’s Choice in Monochrome

The student may enter from one up to a total of 16 photographs. See entry form.

On the evening of March 24th, 2020, the Oklahoma Camera Club will show the winning images - 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mentions – for each category, prints and digital. Also, a “Best of Show” print and a “Best of Show” digital will be selected. Students will be presented awards, which could be a ribbon, an acrylic trophy, or money. A catalog with winning entries will be provided for each entrant.

Students are encouraged but not required to attend this meeting to receive their awards and prizes. School staff, parents and family are invited to attend this awards program with their students. If a student is unable to attend, prizes can be mailed.

The results of the contest, winning photos, and students photographed with their awards will be posted on this website.

As a bonus, some of the winning prints and digital images will be sent to the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Youth Showcase Contest in April 2020 for another judging. The PSA winners will be shown at the 2020 Annual Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado, September 29th through October 3rd, 2020.

Students, school staff, parents and family members are invited to attend our meetings. See Club Calendar.
