A little about myself:

Inge Vautrin

I'm originally from Denmark but now reside in Oklahoma City. I've been a member of The Oklahoma Camera Club since 2012 and a member of The Photographic Society of America (PSA) since 2013. I'm also very active in numerous Facebook photography groups and interact daily with photographers from around the world. It's this type of constant interaction with others that keeps me inspired.

I enjoy working with nature and especially find the world of macro photography very exciting. I also enjoy the challenge of street photography and capturing everyday life. My real passion however, is working with black & white images to convey different moods through contrast and shadows.

To me, a special picture is one that captures a situation or mood that would otherwise go unnoticed. I enjoy the entire process, from finding the subject, to processing the picture, to sharing the results. I put a lot of hours and effort into post-processing each picture. When I work with a picture, I like to emphasize something in the photo to make it unique and personal.

I have been honored to receive several awards at the local and international levels. I actively compete in PSA exhibitions and currently hold stars in Color PID, Monochrome PID, Nature ND and Photojournalism PJD.
